So far The Kentish Town Writers' Group has only met once (in October 2016), and it was a fun if shambolic affair. The initial idea was to bring together a group of writers across disciplines: novelists, essayists, web journalists, video game writers, screenwriters, academic writers.

Since most writing circles tend to emphasize one genre (namely fiction), I thought this would be a new and interesting way to look at things, since a lot of writers tend to be cross-disciplinary today. But now I realize there's a reason writers' groups are tightly focussed.

I'm not giving up on the idea, as I really want to work with authors who live in the same area.

We'll come back with some events in 2017 that are more focussed.
